These aren't real drabbles, per se, since they're more than 100 words, but drabbles100 allows it, so... there you go.

Also, these were written over a year ago, and I figured I might as well post the rest of these. Enjoy!

Title: Blueberries
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Ginny, Harry
Prompt: 029. Birth, 063. Summer, 083. Lost
Wordcount:: 300
Rating: G

“Where on earth am I going to find blueberries in the middle of winter?” Harry asked disbelievingly.

Ginny’s nostrils flared. “You did not just question my word.”

“Right, right,” he said, cowering away from her. “But aren’t they summer fruit? Where am I supposed to—”

“Just do it! You’re the Boy-Who-Lived! Twist arms! Something!”

Harry took his coat and left the house, muttering about pregnant women and their strange cravings.

Ginny’s mouth twisted as she fought not to laugh. “I think we can plan this surprise party for a couple of hours,” she said, walking over to the kitchen table.

Hermione stepped out cautiously from the closet, clutching plans in her hand. “Are you sure?”

“Harry is lost when it comes to women, much less pregnant women. He’ll search for hours to make sure I get the nicest blueberries.”

“Thanks for helping me plan this for Ron,” Hermione said, laying out her papers on the table. “I know you hate keeping secrets from Harry.”

Ginny snorted. “Harry couldn’t keep a secret to save his life. It’s good that I sent him on his mission.”

“Yeah, Hermione’s going barmy planning my surprise party,” Ron said to Harry, clapping his shoulder friend’s as he led him into the house.

“I’m not going to be able to go back until I have blueberries. Blueberries! Honestly, if she weren’t going to give birth to my first child—”

“You’re not going to finish that sentence,” Ron said, cracking his knuckles menacingly. “Ridiculous or no, she’s still my baby sister.”

“Right,” Harry muttered. “I wouldn’t actually—”

“I know,” Ron said. “Just stay out of their hair for a couple of hours and get her something nice. She won’t care that it’s not blueberries.”

Blueberries,” Harry said, shuddering.

“I know,” Ron said, knowingly. “Women.”

Title: Delivery
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Ginny
Prompt: 033. Too Much, 041. Shapes, 086. Choices
Wordcount:: 300
Rating: G

“Delivery for one Miss Ginevra Weasley?”

Ginny cracked open the door a little more and blearily opened her eyes. “Excuse me?”

“Delivery!” the pimply boy exclaimed perkily.

“Do you know what time it is?”

“You are Miss Ginevra Weasley?”

“Yes,” she said suspiciously.

“We’ve got some flowers for you,” he said, and Ginny was forced to pull the door open for him as he came in with a crew of about 10 men, whose hands were full of bouquets and vases of all shapes and sizes.

And they didn’t leave. They kept coming and going and coming and going, until her entire flat was filled.

“Excuse me,” Ginny said, trying to hide the desperation in her voice. “This is a little bit too much. I don’t think that—”

“We’re almost done,” said the pimply boy cheerily. “Would you sign here, please?”

She complied. “Do I get a card or something? Who’s sending me all these? This is ridiculous!”

“It looks like you have a secret admirer, miss,” said one of the delivery men, touching his cap respectfully before heading out the door.

“I need a name!” Ginny exclaimed. “I need to know who did this so I can plan a way to kill him personally and—”

“Goodbye and good luck!” said the pimply boy with a wave, unaware of the death glares that she was sending him. He shut the door behind him.

Five minutes later, an owl tapped at her window, and she hurried to untie the parchment around its leg.

Tomorrow is teddy bear day. But if you decide to meet me for ice cream today, I’ll hold off on sending them. It’s your choice.

It took her only a minute to compose her reply: Pick a time, asshole. Just know that you’re going to die.

Title: Deserving
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Ginny, Harry
Prompt: 036. Smell, 037. Sound, 039. Taste, 072. Fixed
Word Count: 400
Rating: G

“When I get out of here, I am going to kill you,” Ginny growled impressively from the sofa where she was comfortably ensconced.

“Idle threats,” Ron said, waving his hand airily.

Once the door shut behind him, Ginny immediately made a flying leap from the sofa, ready to go after him, but found herself crumpled on the floor with a searing pain in her ankle.

“Ginny,” Harry said disapprovingly, flipping a page of his newspaper. “You know you’re not supposed to be on your feet. Healer’s orders.”

“There’s cures for morons like you,” Ginny said, as snottily as she could from her position on the floor.

She muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, “a wand shoved up your nostril. Both your nostrils,” and tried to get up from the floor and onto the sofa.

“I don’t need your help,” she growled as Harry finally put away his paper and knelt beside her.

“I know,” he said cheerfully. “I just want to.”

She reluctantly took his arm and landed in her prison with a sigh. “It’s just my luck, to break my ankle on my first day in Paris. Now I can’t go anywhere.”

“It’s just for a few days,” Harry pointed out reasonably. “We’re going to be here for a couple of weeks.”

She chose to ignore reason. “Bloody magic. It should be able to fix my ankle right away. Why on earth did we pay that Healer to tell me ‘stay in and relax?’”

“You know that you need rest and relaxation. You can’t just fix everything with magic.”

Ginny glanced at him curiously. “You didn’t have to stay with me. I’m sure you’d much rather go out and get used to the sounds and smells of Paris.”

“And the tastes,” Harry said, sounding regretful.

She pushed at his shoulder. “You needn’t make it sound like it’s completely horrible to stay in with me.”

“I’m kidding.”

After a silence, Harry said, “You know I’d rather stay in with you than go anywhere without you. You do know that, right?”

Ginny blushed scarlet and gave him a sideways glance. “Even Paris? Paris is pretty amazing.”

He pulled up a chair and clasped her hand in his. “I know someone who’s even better.”

“Better than Paris?” she asked, raising her eyebrows. “That’s high praise.”

“She deserves much more than that,” he said, and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.

Title: Proposal
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Ginny, Harry
Prompt: 048. Diamond, 028. Children, 027. Parents
Word Count: 300
Rating: PG

“Marriage?” Ginny said blankly, looking at the diamond in his hand as if it were an alien from another planet.

“Er, yes,” Harry said, feeling a bit stupid on his knees.

“Marriage?” she repeated. “Like, how my parents are married? That kind of marriage?”

“Yes,” he said again, biting back the urge to ask her what other kind of marriage there was.

“But…” She spluttered wordlessly for a few moments. “I’m barely getting used to the idea that we’re together again. You can’t just pop the question to me like this!”

“I just want to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said simply, getting up and dusting off his knees. “I don’t want to wait. I want a house with a white picket fence, children, the whole malarkey. ”

“Children? Children? As in plural?” she asked, a bit faintly, unable to register more than a few words at a time.

He stared into her brown eyes and realized with a start that she truly was disconcerted. Thinking quickly, he let out a fake laugh. “I was just kidding. You should have seen the look on your face!”

“You… you…!” She smiled widely, looking relieved. “I can’t believe you! You were so convincing! Was it a bet? That diamond looks so real!”

He palmed the ring into his pocket for safekeeping. “That’s classified information,” he lied. “And I transfigured the diamond on the spot.”

She was convinced that that was the end of it, and she firmly resolved to put it out of her mind.

But the damned diamond and his words came popping up in her mind at random intervals, and when she found the same ring in his sock drawer while hunting for his invisibility cloak, she began wondering whether it had really been a joke.

Title: Charred
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Ginny, Harry
Prompt: 056. Breakfast
Word Count: 100
Rating: G

“I’m guessing this was supposed to be breakfast,” Ginny said, wrinkling her nose as she padded her way into the kitchen, dressed in his shirt.

“Supposed to,” Harry said, looking a bit mournful as he peered at the burnt mess on the frying pan. “Unless you like your toast black like this.”

Ginny hid a smile as she gently took the frying pan out of his hands and onto a table. Winding her arms around his neck, she said, “It’s perfect.” Then, she raised herself up on her toes to kiss him lightly. “It doesn’t mean I’ll eat it, though.”

Very enjoyable--I like the sense of humor displayed in them.

Finally! It took you long enough to post more of your writing. :P jk. But anyways... those were really really good! I especially like Blueberries and the Proposal! I feel so bad for Harry though! :(

I really liked these, especially Blueberries and Delivery. I was crushed for Harry in Proposal though. I wonder how long it took him to ask her again.

Very nice, all of them, though I especially enjoyed Delivery and Charred!

These were all a lot of fun. The 'teddy bear' threat was priceless, as was Ginny's response. You should write a drabble about their date!

haha, I'd always thought it worked great as a standalone, but I kind of see a companion to this. I'll see what I can do. :)

Gah! I think your LJ hates me, I've been trying to comment since last night.

Anyway, I especially love the wickedness in Delivery. *hopeful* Any plans to follow up? :)
Jul. 12th, 2009 04:22 pm (UTC)
I think my LJ is acting up because I've neglected it so much. I'll scold it for you.

I hadn't really planned on a follow up on the drabble, but I can definitely see it happening. I'll give it a shot and let you know. ^^

*cowers* Yes, ma'am! You sound so RAWR and angry about it. I kind of imagined in my head that Harry would just propose marriage the moment he got back with Ginny. It seemed like such a Harry thing to do. And Ginny, being Ginny, would be all, "wait, WHAT?"
But yes, I'll be working on their wedding. Right away. :D
